TaxWatch is an Internet-based program
designed to accurately determine the amount of sale tax. Our sophisticated
GIS technology is
based on advanced and proprietary mapping features that link addresses and
other geographic features to tax rates. Louisiana has over 300 different sales tax areas. We have created a statewide map that partitions each unique district and assigns the right rate to that area. |

Why we get it right? In Louisiana sales tax is based on the residence of the purchaser for many items like automobiles, furniture, boats agricultural machinery. Using our proprietary mapping technology, TaxWatch.biz quickly and accurately determines the address, relates it to the correct domicile code and assigns the appropriate sales tax rate. Using TaxWatch.biz is faster and more accurate than using one of those paper charts and we make sure that any new rates and areas are accounted for immediately.
